Let's be blunt: Sinjun styles, set designs and shoots some of the most exciting, vibrant, smack-you-in-the-face works of analog photography out there right now. Raised in a Minnesota home exploding with niche culture icons, tattoo flash sheet flair and flamboyant personal fashion, it's no wonder Sinjun Strom excels in a creative practice that's deeply expressive, highly personal, and utterly style-defining.
Her highly DIY approach—including sewing outfits, sourcing and styling sets, and managing every aspect of the creative—brings together analog photography, styling, set design and more to create scenes suffuse with character. This practice lets her flow between different roles on a set, both an inspiring lead creative and an ideal collaborator; Sinjun was recently recognized by Sundance Film Festival for her work as a production assistant alongside director Christopher Good on "Crude Oil'.
Sinjun's work has also been featured on The New York Times Lens Blog, PDN, P3, and W Mag. Watch out for Sinjun!
